Work on Company equipment. $2000 Sign On Bonus for Full Time New Hire. Ideal candidates are comfortable working in a team environment and have previous mechanic experience. We are interested in speaking with interested candidates with mechanic experience, even if it is not with large, commercial vehicles. Recent graduates from a technical school are encouraged to apply.

- Perform vehicle inspections
- Use computer programs to identify and diagnose mechanical issues.
- CDL is preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities:
- Managing truck drivers’ schedules and routes
- Coordinating and assigning drivers to pick up and deliver shipments
- Monitoring drivers and provide assistance throughout their routes
- Optimizing routes and loads to minimize transportation costs
- Identifying and resolving logistics issues to minimize delays and maximize efficiency
- Scheduling and tracking shipments and deliveries to ensure on-time delivery
- Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
- Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws
- Monitoring driver activity and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Reviewing logs of truck drivers and providing assistance with any errors
- Maintaining accurate records and reports related to shipments, deliveries, and driver activity
- Completing paperwork related to shipments
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries
- Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests
- Recording driver arrival and departure times and equipment in online systems for customers
- Logging customer shipping schedules and complaints
- Monitoring equipment repairs and maintenance schedules with Maintenance
- Communicating with customers, drivers, and other team members to provide status updates and address any issues
- Collaborating with other departments such as accounts receivable, driver payroll, warehousing, and safety to ensure seamless operations
Position Requirements:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to appropriately target communication to intended audience, ranging from drivers, Maintenance, Dispatch, and Office personnel.
- Proficient knowledge of computers and typical production software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and State DOT, Health & Safety Trucking Regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Drug & Alcohol Regulations, including a working knowledge of the DOT Letters of Interpretation and other Regulatory Guidance.
- Strong organizational skills and note-taking abilities with the ability to direct drivers with limited supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working as a cohesive department with coworkers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple takes at the same time.
- Ability to listen and take direction from coworkers and supervisors and be personable with communications.
